The Art of Wine and Cheese Friday 7.30 p.m. May 6th 2011 As part of our fundraising for this year's Welborne Arts Festival, we are organising a wine and cheese event to be held at The South Green Enterprise Centre in Mattishall. There will be tutored tastings of up to 10 wines alongside samples of cheeses from the South Green Park Food Hall. Emily Barclay from the Perfect Wine Company in Norwich (www.theperfectwine.co.uk) will lead the tasting and pair some of the wines with the cheeses. During the interval Emily will be happy to discuss your wine preferences or advise you on wines to match up with special menus, or you can test your knowledge with an optional wine quiz. There will also be a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by local companies. The event will be informal; no prior knowledge of wine is needed (although for the wine lover this is an ideal opportunity for some in-depth discussion with an expert). Tickets are £10 in advance (from Ruth at: welbornearts@hotmail.co.uk or Luisa on 01362 858786) or £12 on the door.
