The festival included top quality visual art, music, literature and performance. There was plenty for adults, children and families to see and to do. We even had our very own town crier!
LITERARY EVENTS
Three Norfolk-based authors gave talks and signing books.
Michèle Roberts 3.00 pm Sunday 11 June

Dereham library brought their mobile library, storytelling and promoting ‘Bookstart'.
One of the exciting new things this year is an artist working in Welborne before and during the festival. Patricia Derrick, from Wymondham, is interested in making work in response to locations and undertaking live performance. She is also working with other festival s in South Norfolk in 2006 at the Harleston, Shelton, Wymondham, and Chet Valley.
This year's visual art exhibitions were by Norwich Print Fair and NOVA (the North Norfolk Association of Visual Artists) and, as always, the villagers' exhibition.
There was a display of all the photographs entered in our competition for local children.
Artists from the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art worked with children from local schools. The children's work was displayed at the festival.
The Grapevine Gallery, Norwich, ran workshops where you could paint your own design on ceramic plates, mugs, bowls and more. After the festival your work will be glazed and fired in the gallery's kiln.
DAYTIME MUSIC
Our Saturday evening concert of popular classical music was by Laurette Pope, harp, and Lowri Porter, violin. They have been playing together as a duo since 2002. Until recently they were with ‘Live Music Now!' and now perform regularly across the UK.

Our Sunday evening concert featured Eddie Walker from Middlesbrough. Eddie is one of folk's leading singer/guitar pickers who plays old blues, rags, hillbilly, British and American folk, original songs and instrumentals.
